69-year-old patient, open reduction and osteosynthesis by intramedullary nailing and subsequent radial nerve palsy (drop hand). Radial nerve neurolysis was attempted. Limited ability of extensor muscles to elevate the hand was achieved by intensive physical therapy and high compliance. Marked amelioration of everyday competence .
