Picture shows the typical discoloration in Raynaud's syndrome, here without known autoimmune disease. Raynaud phenomenon results from an exaggerated vasoconstriction of digital vessels. It is more common in women than in men. The condition can cause pain, usually the affected extremities show discoloration (paleness) and feel cold or numb.
