Resected aneurysm of the anterior cerebral artery with coils removed
20 rating(s) (4.8 ø)

Coiled giant aneurysm of the anterior cerebral artery (MCA) on the right. Macroscopic picture, partially thrombosed aneurysm.

5 1/2 years after coiling the aneurysm was resected because the patient developed epilepsy, the aneurysm increased in size and was supplied again through blood circulation.

The platinum coils were removed and have been placed next to the aneurysm for comparison.
