Light microscope image of a 0.5 micron section cut through the developing brain tissue (telencephalic hemisphere) of an 11.5 day mouse embryo. This higher magnification image of "Mouse Emb. Brain#3(4)4" image shows an example of the early vascularization of the cerebral cortex: a capillary that has perforated the surface of the telencephalon.
